This is just for my curiousity, is going from a manual to auto swap in a 2021 Mach 1 doable? I’m getting older an have hip/back/leg issues and makes it harder and harder to drive the manual. So I was wondering if this is something to consider and how much would it cost.

I’m sure in the end it might be better and cheaper to trade in the manual for the auto but I have my car set up the way I like it Suspension wise.

I’ve done several auto to manual swaps in the past, couldn’t imagine doing it on something as electronically interconnected as these cars. I’m sure it could be done, but it wouldn’t be as simple as a trans swap and pedal cage.

Agreed. Probably need an ECM, a BCM, a TCM, wiring harness - engine and trans if they're separate, shifter, maybe a center console, driveshaft maybe, different sensors, a steering wheel and the wiring harness for that, obviously a flex plate and torque converter, maybe a different starter and????
And then there's the programming...

Yeah, probably, easier and cheaper to just buy an automatic car and redo the suspension again.

Sell the car and buy a manual…

By the time you invest in a donor vehicle (which is THE best way to do it), you’d be too deep in the $$$ to even recoup anything if selling later down the road…

Swapping transmissions and pedal boxes isn’t like it was 15-20 years ago - there’s A LOT of modules, programming, wiring harnesses and electronics involved. It’s not a 1 day event. It’s very costly. Can it be done? Sure, but it’s just not worth it.

Like others have said. Get it back to stock and sell the car. When you get the auto put the suspension mods back on it.

Yeah, I think I just needed to ask and get it out of my head. Makes no sense to even consider it.
