Do we have any ideas of the production numers of this car. GM could really put the hammer down on the GT500 and this ADM nonsense if people could just order one from the dealer & expect to pay MSRP only like most other cars.

This would truly make it a performance car for the masses unlike the GT500. I know this is just probably wishful thinking but I think the market is there. I think there are many buyers out there who can afford the car once you don't have to play this ADM nonsense.

The '17 zl1 will probably MSRP for $65,000 and you will deal with a $5000-$20,000 mark up for the 2017-'18's.

If Ford has planed what I think they have planed, a zl1 won't be enough for a GT500/GT500KR.

Ford waited for Chevy to announce the 2012 zl1's info before they dropped the GT500 info the next day.

As far as a z28...

...I think everything has been slightly "held up" for a "safer date".

Good thing if true, not much the can do about a GT350/GT350R either

That's too bad about the ADM. I guess I will just enjoy my 2016 GT Premium for a while longer. I'm just not going to pay any kind of ADM. These cars aren't worth it to me.

Seems the 10 speed automatic is delayed. The auto equipped LT series V8's always run hot, I'm sure there is another stupid cooling issue.

The z06 has been pushed back further into 2017. The LT4 has MAJOR cooling issues which many have migrated and been amplified in the zl1.

They should have axed the convertible, the Alpha was never made to handle 650hp. There was always a chance the zl1 could have come in at $59,995... I'm almost afraid greed and eliminating options have made the MSRP more than a GT350R. Huge bummer if true...

So, the A10 is delayed, probably too hot like the C7/A8. Heat seems to be an issue with automatic equipped LT engines that run hard.

Ford was able to build a 662hp V8 in 2012 and the GT500 again lays in wait for an announcement.

The MSRP shifted back to the zl1. That is GM for you. The ZL1LE is a shared program. Essentially, they took $3000 from the 1LE and put it on the zl1.

What was

1LE: $47,000
ZL1: $60,000

Now:

1LE: $44,000
ZL1: $63,000
What was more important sales wise?

A $59,995 zl1 may have got people's attention. However, we could see the fanbase saying NOT OVER $45k for a 1LE. I can say with honesty, the 1LE was going to put a $5000 premium over a 2SS.... but the zl1 absorbed some of the program responsibility.

At this point, I'm not even sure any of this was the right move. People ARE NOT buying Camaro's. Furthermore, people aren't buying SS's in such a manner that a 1LE will make a difference.

If people are not paying $42,000 for a 2SS, why wioild they pay $44,000 for a 3SS? Performance? Think again... The GT350 was $49,995 once... that being said, it's Boss 302 money.

The zl1 has a plethora of issues already looming... IF the zl1 is deemed too expensive and dumped, the low MSRP strategy for the 1LE will turn against them.

They may actually CANCEL the A10.

Reprogramming due to excessive heat... with 11 coolers...

This is why superchargers and twin turbos are bad. Heat and nowhere to package needed heat exchangers.

Pretty much limited to Ecoboost w/ Single twin scroll or Bi-Turbo with Ram Air (GT500).

Not that I can afford it but that's a damn good price. I just wonder how high the dealer is going to mark them up.

62k Seems to be fair priced IMO for the ZL1.
I'm wondering, since the zl1 and 1LE are nearly identical in equipment, what makes a zl1 $63,000 and a 1LE only $44,000.

In the past, the ZL1, GT500, Hellcat, all had unique equipment. However, this zl1 has almost ZERO it can call its own.

If it didn't come from the 1LE, it came from the CTS-V.

I'm just wondering why it maintained the $20,000 premium and has a far less distinctive equipment group.

It is scary to think 650hp on tires designed for the 1LE's 455hp.

No new word on the A10 delay/cancellation. The transmission will need reprogrammed.

Someone should just ban him. Like he's just spewing garbage over and over.
