I'm considering buying vertical links for my 2019 GT PP1 Magneride car that I use daily and road course 3-4 times per year.

My rear suspension has
  • RLCA spherical bearings,
  • diff bushing pucks,
  • upgraded toe links with spherical in the knuckle
  • GT350R sway bars F/R

On track I run a square setup of PS4's 275/40, and that is mainly what limits my cornering speed. So I am not expecting such a minor mod as vertical links to "transform" my car.

It seems that my options are
  1. Keep the OEM links (I think they look stiff enough, but have rubber bushings)
  2. Billet links with poly bushings
  3. Billet links with Delrin bushings
  4. Billet links with spherical bushings

I'm a bit concerned about additional NVH during daily use. So please weigh in on that for me.
I'm also not one to buy everything in the catalog just for pride of ownership or because of bling that can't be seen. So option #1 is fine, too.

If it were me and the car is still used as a daily I'd go with the urethane bushings.

Yes they are more durable than the factory rubber, in the sense they won't bind, tear or wear but won't produce as much NVH as metal (spherical) or Delrin.

I've used urethane on many Mustangs in the past, never had an issue with the material. In fact, many of the suspension bushings and isolators on my Cobra are Energy Suspension urethane and have been on that car for over 18 years - still like as new when they were installed. Where applicable for grease (control arm bushings), I use Marine Grade grease, not the common automotive grease.

Spherical can be really noisy and very harsh. Delrin is harsher than urethane, it's pretty much like a very hard nylon material. I've seen users of sphericals complain of excessive noise and harshness only to remove and go to a urethane or Delrin product.

Now the above is just from my angle, others may disagree and say go spherical - but just remember everyone has different tolerances for NVH and doing a job 1, 2, or 3x.

I'd go spherical. That's what I did on mine, and noticed no appreciable NVH change. Even when my rear seat was still installed.

I'm a straight line guy and Steeda recommended the delrin bushings for my application. No NVH detected. I'd call them up and ask.

I think Steeda recommends urethane for road course. That is what I have.

As far as feel it tightens up the rear. I can feel an improvement. I get faster lap times due to driver confidence.

I think BMR or Keltrac has a bearing on one end and delrin on the other.
