No. cause the IMRC is plug & play. You'd only need a tune to raise the RPM limit. The PCM doesn't give a flying fook at to what happens after the MAF aitflow wise.

The tune is different.
It's not, except for 1 aspect. The tune ups the max RPM limit from 7200 to 7500, but otherwise they are identical. While that does make a difference especially with the topend potential of the 350 manifold, you can still run it on the PP2 tune.

I believe you mean the GT350 Intake. The tune is different.

Go here and see post #10. I actually post the differences between PP2 and PP3 tunes. It's manifold volume, rev limit and IPC adjustment.

GT350 with TB adapter.

More or less plug and play. And it will run on the OEM tune.

I wonder if they updated those, I did the same check back in 2017ish or so and it wasn't as many differences. Anyway, I do still believe that the car will run and run well with the new manifold on the old tune.
You are correct, a GT350 intake will run fine on a Ford Performance PP2 tune.

Yes a GT350 intake with a stock throttle body will run on a factory tune as far as I know.

When you use a GT350 intake with a stock or PP2 tune, the big miss is not utilizing the increased redline. (@EFI I assume you're well aware of this) Without the increased redline, you don't get the benefit of the GT350 intake. The stock 2016 intake makes more midrange power and torque than the GT350 intake, but the GT350 intake stomps the stock 15-17 intake past 6500 rpm. If you short shift a GT350 intake, you will be slower than stock. Here is a better explanation.

That means it's different. 😆 The question wasn't whether it would run or not. The OP asked if they were the same. There is a different calibration, your response was a more thorough answer. I respond on my phone a lot and get tired of typing. I should have clarified this. Running the Gen 3 manifold or the GT 350 w/o the rev capability seemed pointless to me.

No no, let's talk more about this GT500 manifold. It's a big honking supercharger so really, isn't it the best intake manifold in this whole conversation?
