Ford was averaging over about 10k right? Not as low of a number as I was expecting through winter months. That being said the Camaro is pretty much a bust from what I hear, nobody is buying.

I keep hearing conflicting information on the new Camaro....

Some say it's a bust...but they're adding a third shift at Lansing Grand River to build more?

Any indication of the Camaro numbers?

Not sure when they will release them but I figured if they were good numbers we would already know what they sold the first month. when a fully loaded Camaro with the upgraded brakes and mag ride is 50 grand theres not much hope.

Of which a fair portion were the 6th Gen..since they went on sale in November.

According to Becky D over on Camaro6 the majority of the interest is in the SS..the V6 isn't getting much love this time around.

I think the higher price of entry might put a bit more of a cramp this time around.

As I've said before on this forum...

The Challenger hasn't ever been the top-dog seller...but it's been extremely consistent for a car that shares its production lines with two other cars (The Charger and 300).

Yup. It was also the pricier of the three in terms of the V8, but now with the camaro's price increase they're on par for the most part.

Base Scat Pack is about 38K, about the same for the 1SS. I wonder if we'll start to see challenger numbers now from the camaro?

38K (Scat) is very optimistic, at least where I live. Usually I see these on dealer lots optioned up to 45K and beyond.

Averaging over 10k per month is very good, though a telling of the times it still does not match the '05 and before sales figures.

Surprised to see that the Camaro is still sitting around 5k. The Mustang saw a huge increase in Nov and Dec of 2014 after release. Either supply is still extremely constrained or there is just not the broad appeal to the car, with the performance selling to enthusiasts but the other aspects not speaking to the general buyer beyond the 5G Camaro. I am not a Chevy hater, but did not see the appeal of the Camaro beyond performance with the 5G, and do not expect that to change with the 6G. Will know after sitting in one at the Portland Auto Show.

Maybe their current shilft only produce 6k of camaro and they needed to produce more to catchup customer order?

Most people buy cars based on looks. The mustang looks wayyyyy better. Also price is a factor too.
