I think the first rendering looks good. At least the rear of it looks good. I don't love the grill changes.

However, I don't want or need a wagon and I wouldn't buy one.

I would want such to be as far away from the Mustang, as possible. With that being my goal, I would see such being a Lincoln under a possible three-character name like XR7. Its selling point would be a usable rear seat.

I'll add that back a time ago, I owned a '83 Firebird S/E WS6. With its hatchback, I was able to bring home a sliding glass door in the back, and close the hatch.
17 MKC, MKX, NAV : Front end styling? The nose bridge/scorn face is still getting cycled out.
Lincoln MKZ/Continental/Nauti styling *might* be compatible. Lincoln design targets 30k/yr/design? OK. (25-30k each current design historical). I expect Nautilus will be killing it if we can get Beyonce, Coco Lee, Joey Yung and Lana Del Rey to drive one around the beach and eventually into the water in the video for Naughti Girls (yet unreleased).
Very interesting, any openings in the unpaid yellow light work group on this?

Ford just didnt need another wagon...
Until now.

I bet a cup of coffee (or a Manhattan) that Ford Design could execute a Mustang styled Flex w Turbo 6 AWD.
As a design exercise only of course, focused on various strategies of accomodating packaging constraints.
So I got a half cup of coffee with a Manhattan poured in it...
Still crossing fingers...

*edit* got the coffee and Manhattan! Thanks Ford!
Mach1 is HHHUUUGE!

Update: MachE
Can someone post/release to public the MachE image with the front spoiler and lowered front/racked stance?
Congrats Ford Design!

So there were some mustang wagon renderings that looked wicked and I would seriously buy one.

Frankly, the Ford Mustang design team is ready to go up against the Panamera wagon:

I would buy the S550 chassis wagon over the Panamera. Anyone else?

*edit*:
Name ideas?
It does not have to be called a “Mustang”.
