If they did that body style I would buy one. It would make the rear seats genuinely usable by offering increased head room.

No.

And why in the hell are posters here suddenly so ready to compare a Mustang to a Porsche?

Was there a Mustang6G Free Crack Give Away I missed?

That doesn't look as bad as I thought it would. I wouldn't buy one because I don't want or need a wagon, though.

I find the fascination that the automotive press and some enthusiasts have with the "shooting brake" design perplexing. These models have historically sold like crap. They are the models that everyone loves but nobody buys. If they made a Mustang like this people would say it was cool, all the automotive press would gush, and very few would actually buy one.

That's not a bad first effort, I'm sure with a little work it could be improved but it's not horrible looking either. An interesting exercise, but I bet they wouldn't sell worth a shti.

That rendering looks great. Big fan of the wagon/hatchback. Love the BMW M coupe, the Volvo’s, the WRX hatch, GTI, Focus RS, etc. great mix of sportiness and practicality.

What ^ he ^ said. My Volvo C30 was every bit the car that my S550 is - and in some ways more. I miss it terribly. So - yes - I'd seriously consider a stretched Mustang!

98-02 total M coupe North American production was around 2800, a fraction of M3 sales. Won lots of awards from the automotive press, but people were not knocking down doors to buy them.

I have a couple friends at work who love the shooting brake design. Interestingly they don't own one.
