As long as we're talking 'Ring times, the new Vette isn't going to be a slouch, either.

And thats Euro spec.

Time will tell. I wish Ford would just put one on the freaking scale already!

In all seriousness, I think Ford is still trying to drop weight, which is why they haven't published the weight yet. I bet that initial 4,000 lb quote from MM soured some people's grapes.
Larry holt referenced the GT500 in conversation saying "sorta GT500 weight but we're are trying to get another 75 kilos out of the car". Larry quickly changed the subject. By the way, 75 kilos is 165 pounds.

Unless what they did to the GTD in comparison to the GT500 ADDED a crapload of weight, the simple math referenced in my other post in addition to the quoted weight reduction still puts the car significantly lighter than the GT500.

CCB
CF body
Magnesium wheels (probably a wash compared to CF wheels)
Li battery
And as Larry said? Minus another 165 pounds.

I took a trip from Detroit to Charlotte, North Carolina in a 2023 preproduction Z06. That thing was like an LMP car for the street.

I'm not talking about the Z06, though. There's another one going to drop that is a little friskier.

Really curious what they do with the ZR1. I’m assuming it’s going to be boosted at the very least.

We might see the next Capri in Cologne next month, reborn as an EV.
That will matter when you refire your nuke plants to charge the bloody things.

It’s not a big stretch to imagine that as a face lifted 2018-2023, and yet somehow we have a SUV called a Mustang Mach E … 🤷‍♂️

WD :like:
I've said it before, but it completely baffles me that whoever names those cars didn't call it the "Galax-E."

Those who don't know their own history...are bloody morons.
