Guys, this is a good discussion!! Cost was my prime motivator for ESS...but I'd probably rather have a Whipple/VMP. When I called a local shop, they quoted 12k for the Loki system install/tune. Odin was 15k. I figured that install was a bit more involved vs. a centi system. Thoughts?

Centri install is going to take a few hours less, for sure.

It all comes down to what you want to spend (centri will usually be a couple thousand less), and what powerband you want to end up with. They're both fun, just different.

If you're doing a higher end build (25psi built motor fuel system blah blah blah) that $2,000 might not even matter to you. But if you're putting something together for under $10,000 it will be a much bigger piece of the pie.

With a Whipple or Roush kit, for about $200 in software you can do some cool stuff like this that can mimic the centrif torque curve....and in about 20 seconds put it back to a PD blower torque curve.

Another cool thing with the same software, torque by gear if that floats your boat:

Mainly just the Roush has this issue....and they really missed the boat on this.

If I would have known this, I would have probably gone PD.
