I think Lethal sells the Apex product as well. They serve the same function so probably just as good either way.

For my application would a basic g2 setup be adequate, as far as heat load is concerned?

Pull the trigger on the G3 intercooler upgrade.

PBD told me g2 intercooler is ok with 125mm pulley even living in Florida.

The G2 intercooler may be "ok," but if you ever intend to go for a little more power... That G3 intercooler will be perfect for any future plans.
More cooling is never a bad idea with boost.
