gtechniq crystal serum

I had gtechniq crystal serum installed. It is a 7year coating. I had gtechniq EXO put on after. The results are astounding. The detailer used to use cquartz but switched after seeing what gtechniq can do.

I'm ignorant here but why put a ceramic coating over paint protection film?

The PPF protects from chips and scratches while the ceramic prevents the adherence of dirt, stains, etc.

Doesn't the ceramic inhibit the self-healing qualities of the PPF? If there's a hard shell on it, how can the PPF self heal?

Not sure of the science, but it apparently works just fine. Lots of Lambos and Ferraris here in Houston have ceramic over PPF. It looks great and is close to zero maintenance.

I used Jetseal 109 from Chemical guys on mine. Very happy with the results.

Understand that there is a difference between CQuartz and CQuartz Finest.
I just had my R paint corrected/buffed and CQuartz finest applied to all external surfaces - paint, wheels (inboard and outboard with wheels removed), calipers, glass and all exterior trim. Cost was $1150 with me removing the wheels and reinstalling.
Absolutely sir!
Cquartz Finest is the top of the Cquartz family. I had my 2016 Ram Sport 4x4 regular cab done, same exact thing as you. Mine was as costly as yours, $950. But the shine, reflectivity and ease of cleaning make it all worth it.
Your R looks killer. Beautiful car.

Looks like the number of US retailers that use this are limited. Looks pretty cool.

Jetseal no offense is not the same. Not even the same league. A regular wash and wax works better in my opinion than jetseal. I have used it on body wheels and glass and if you compare to unsealed area. Not much to tell.

I had CQuartz Finest applied. I definitely recommend it. For the past two months I've just been doing a waterless wash. It's pretty amazing how it works.
Looks amazing! Which waterless wash are you using?

The shop I use turns out award winning hotrods! Paint and finish is second to none! It seems he is not a fan of these coatings....they peel, yellow, and maintenance is usually to re-do every 2yrs or so!

My Stang will be wet sanded 3000, then 5000 then Mcguires products for the final shine. I'm sure I'll be more than happy. Should hit the shop next week!

So......how. Often do the experts say. These "coatings" have to be re-done??...or how much of a warranty period or guarantee do you get

I had CQuartz Finest applied in April and there's not the slightest trace of it anymore.
Used reload yesterday and yes the shine is back, but that's just temporary. I can't believe that reload is needed to reactivate the CQuartz Finest as it's merely some sort of wax & sealant.
I guess I had bad luck with the CQuartz!
