It's time to argue about something new. ;) So, in the same conditions on the same track with enough room to decide, which version has the highest top speed?

My vote is for the Tech Package because it's a little lower on its Magnerides than the Base version and has the smoothest airflow with the lip spoiler, instead of the high downforce interrupter on the Track Package. It also doesn't have those big tranny and diff coolers underneath breaking up the airflow.

in a straight line: base, lightest and lower rear spoiler
on track: track pack, due to the added down force

Does the contest last more than 20 minutes on a generally warm day?
 LMFAO, now that's funny !!!

Shouldn't it be the base for straight line speed, due to least aero drag?

There's only one top speed for any car, so if you have to drive from Germany to France to reach it, you might want to press harder on the gas. :p

Update: Oh, now I get it - the overheating problem ...

Probably not the Tech Pack car because many of the owners (me included) are gravitationally challenged. aka not compatible with Recaros. Now with a driver mod, either driver reduction mod or driver swap out mod, the debate continues...

Exactly. Makes for no contest on the track.

If there is a difference in height it's not nearly visible. The base I believe is lighter prob at least 100lbs or close to it. And the cooler on the track pack won't break up airflow the way they are installed. Ford did a great job on that.

Base should be the fastest in a straight line.

e92 M3 but a GT350 soon maybe
the one with the better driver.

seriously the differences would be so minute it won't matter. You couldn't even test it because even the same driver on each car would have a higher margin of error than the actual difference, whether its on a track or on a strip it wouldn't matter.
