You missed the point, its not about the two door coupe.
Mustang is not going anywhere. Its about naming
the EV, 4 door SUV a Mustang.
If you don't understand this, I am not sure it can be explained.
I have no interest in an EV, that said they are coming and at some point I may not have a choice
or it may be practical enough to make sense.
BUT, I will not buy this from Ford and here's why.
I am a Ford Fan and a huge Mustang fan.
They executives at Ford have so little respect for the
Iconic...
The day the car was announced and I realized its actually true the New ford SUV was named a Mustang,
I was shocked, not because it was an EV, more because it was an SUV.
I realize it will likely be a year or two before we know how it affects the Mustang Brand.
I will not support the Mustang EV...
watch the Ford versus Ferrari storey and its not the first time Bill Ford 2 was snookered or pushed into something.
It will likely be a year or 2 before we see the true feelings about this EV. but you can bet, now that its been named a Mustang,
anything can and will be branded with Mustang name...
2.5 pages of crap and 8 minutes of my life I won't get back.
leave the politics somewhere else, unless we are talking ford
and there politics, which could be a legitimate part of this, maybe.
you are the reason it is named a Mustang.
some will say oh a Mustang suv EV cool, but they
have not idea about league or history
equally important don't care about it.
I am curious as to the feedback in Europe.
what are folks saying there.
Funny how many folks are saying ford can do what they want, stop whining and suck it up.
Well you are correct, Ford can do what they want. But might be a mistake to piss off millions of loyal followers.
But I don't have to suck it up, I have spent a life time of passion over the Mustangs, I have...
I think this is a sad day for Ford and Mustang.
The executives and marketing department involved in this should be fired.
To mess with the Heritage and the legacy of the Mustang is disgraceful.
Every car person new what a Mustang was, even people who were a fan
of a different model, understood...
In North America the love affair with the car is still alive.
Maybe in 30-40 years when a lot of us are dead, Mustangs
and cars like this will become less relevant.
I have no problem EV and its the way of the future.
If Ford is so desperate to have to name it a Mustang
to sell it says more...
Go ahead and build the ford electric version of an Aztec.
Just don't call it a Mustang. I have been a Ford guy for years.
I have been in love with Mustangs since I was a kid.
If Ford does this, they lose what Mustang means,
2 seater pony car that has become legendary.
That leaves us to go to...
I believe if Ford builds a 4 door Mustang it will take away from everything it has become and represents.
Mustang is an Icon as it stands and IMO will lose a great deal of what makes it special.
I hope Ford does not go down this road, for 4 door profits will come at a far greater cost.
I think the car is very cool, I know the DCT can shift faster and better than I can a Manual.
But I still want the feel and experience of being connected to the car. I take my car to the track
a few times of year and have to shift and get it right is a great part of the experience.
When out for...
Great shots of the car.
I think the DCT is cool, but I still prefer 6 speed manual.
I love the look and wing so thats cool.
Wish we had numbers after the long wait.
Its not enough to give up my GT350R
I could have swore I read you would trade it in a heartbeat for a GT3
Maybe I was mistaken, maybe you edited the post.
either way, If I was as unhappy as you proclaim in this thread,
I would get rid of it, if your not happy change it, whining won't fix
nothing. Go buy what makes you happy...
This thread has become a shit show, Fred chased this car and another one as little as a few months ago, now its the worst thing he has ever owned and can't say enough bad about the whole product line. Its so bad, he took it to a car show this weekend, even if requested,
if it were that bad most...
My point was many grocery getters are junk.
you got a great one, super but it does not portrait and accurate
picture, I don't have any of the issues being talk about on this thread
with my car.
2 points to make, my 350R will out run it in 2nd gear, so want to you want grocery getter with good fit and finish or a car the runs to 8250 screaming like nothing on this planet.
2nd point, I had a low mile used Passat once, one of the worst cars I owned $500 to $2000 per month for 12 months...
