Once decent weather finally gets here and the cover can finally come off the GT350, I need to get new tires. While I love the Michelin's on there now, i feel like they look a bit stretched on the 6GR seven spoke wheels. If only ANYONE made a 315/35/19 tire 'we' would be all set (for the rears). So i am down to buying another set of OEM size Michelin's or go with a 325/30/19 (rear) 305/30/19 (front) setup. My biggest issue is that i HATE when tires poke outside of the fenders (particularly in the rear). I've seen many on the forum with 325's on 6GR's and it appears that they poke out a bit. What i havent seen from anyones post is a good picture of them from the rear (straight on from the back/side of the car) so i can guage how much it would make me crazy. Thoughts? If anyone could post some picks for me i'd really appreciate it. Thanks folks

Following this thread as I'm currently on the stock 35 series tires as well on mine and agree they look pretty heavily stretched.

I've been using contiforce contact 325s in the rear and they fit and look good. I don't even know if they make those particular tires anymore, but they work well.

The red center caps are now Ford (black), but you get the jist.

Here are Michelin 325's on 6GR wheels (rear), 305's (front). IMHO, they don't stick out too far.

not 6GR but BC Forged in R spec with offset for 350. 325”s 30 19 rears....look good to me. I say go for it...unless the 6GR wheels have different offsets which make them poke more, the 325”s should look awesome.

So like so many other topics, personal opinion is king, right?! Having said that, IMHO, the Michelin 325 is just too dang wide. And the most important lesson to take from this thread is that no two tires are created equal. There is no tire industry standard for where/how to measure or spec tires. The 325/30 from Michelin vs Continental are night and day with the Conti 325/30 being narrower and much closer in fit to the R 315/30 (which BTW, a 315/30 is not available in any tire out there but the Cup2's). I went with the Continental for this very reason as I cannot stand the look of the new Michelin 325. Even on the 11.5" wheel, the tire is too wide. I prefer a tiny little bit of stretch. Not quite as much as the 305/35 on a 11.5" wheel, but you get the idea.

All that to say consider some of the Continental options. Their 325/30 will give the fit you're looking for. I'm at work and can't upload pics from here, but I'll get some good comparison shots up later. Even the pics @Tomster posted give you a good idea how much better the Conti 325 fits.

And on top of that, they are a great street or track tire. I have the Contiforcecontact. Soft R compound that have very good wear characteristics despite it being a soft R compound tire. For the track, I use cup2's. However, I have tracked the Contiforcecontacts and they are a good overall track tire as well.

For reference, here is the Bridgestone S007a 325/30 on an 11.5” rim.

@nordique14 That looks good too. And yes, I think the Stone's also run smaller than a Michelin. How do you like those??

Any of you guys know of 325/30/19's with a lower section width which, if i understand correctly, 'could' help alleviate them from poking out (given they'd be on the narrower side). Thoughts?

Just put them on a couple weeks back
So I only have one mountain run on them. It was a pretty fast paced run though. So far, I like them quite a bit. They are one slot below the RE-71 in the Bridgestone lineup. Supposed to be more durable on track. The RE-71 are more for autocross and will wear quick. I think the S007a are the stock tires on some Ferrari models.

Why not 305/35? It keeps the R model from scraping most everywhere which is huge to me, especially when my wife drives as seen below.

i agree that 305/35/19 would be perfect on the front. The issue is that no one makes a 315/35 for the rear. What are you running in the rear?

Just run a square setup. Really don't need the extra tire on the street.

Speaking of square set up. Does anyone have a Gt350 with 6gr 11s all the way around? If so how is the fittment around the caliper? especially in the rear. I was told it does fit just wondering. Thanks
