Have a 2016 tech pac with 1600 miles. Driving 70-80 on the freeway in 4th and 5th oil temp is routinely 250, ambient temp is high 90s/ 100. Is that normal?

Even on days that are in the 90s I don't hit higher than 212 after 30-45 minute spirited backroad runs. I have a base model, if that matters to anyone.
Didnt know you were a forum member. I enjoyed watching your videos, and looking forward to more impressions. Also helps that I also have a base Magnetic incoming.

At 70_80 in 4th and 5th your pretty high rpm so yea that's normal, my track pack runs a little cooler but not far off

96 degrees yesterday, with AC on, 80 - 85 MPH on the freeway in 6th, 2300'ish RPM, 206 - 210 all the way from mid state back to SE Wisconsin. I've seen as high as 225 in stop and go freeway in 90+ degree days when paying attention. I think these ranges are pretty normal. LS's routinely run in those types of temp ranges too so whatevs. On autocross, I've seen as high as 240 on a sticky hot day and because of the lower speeds involved, cooling isn't as effective.

My '11 Coyote always ran super cool. I rarely saw over 212'ish in stop and go traffic on my Aeroforce gauge.

Mine runs 220 all day long hot or whatever. Goose it and drive it hard in the 90+ degree heat and you will see it in the 240-250 range. It comes right back down when you ease off on it.

I wash my car pretty often, always gently clean out the cooler fins. not sure if that would really matter. I will frequently use up to a quart checking my oil level every 1k between 3k changes.

Have you guys lost a bit of fluid volume?
