Heat up the area, not to hot so the paint can get damaged. Can use hair dryer if you don't have a heat gun.
Can then use a fishing line or similar and work a cross preferably pulling upward so the paint of the car is not damaged. Key is to have heat so the adhesive gets soft.
Once it off the worst part of the residue you can try to remove by hand. The rest you can remove with a special wheel. Such as this

Once done it is super important to get the area as clean as possible. Wash, then IPA or similar.
Not sure if the GT500 spoiler comes with the automotive adhesive tape installed or not. But if it is 3M you can use their promoter first as well to get a better bond. As the the spoiler is bolted as well you will have good pressure for getting a good bond. For good measure you can also add maskin tape accross to have downward pressure on the spoiler over the night.
