Awesome video, I bet if you removed the passenger seat and rear seat you would drop some weight. I agree that these cars need wider tires, at least they werent 285 like whats on the gt500. Not sure whats on the boss, but i bet its under tire'd too.

For reference the tires on the Viper ACR are 295 front and 355 rear. The rears have 13" wide rims!
Forget size. Needs some COMPOUND. R888's.

By changing tire you size you can induce under or over steer with out modifying other components to support the wider tires.

Great driving. Just as a reference, what is the max speed of the regular GT3 on the back stretch?
Not sure on that straight but if it's the 991 GT3 should be higher slightly higher than the Shelby based off recently posted 1/2 mile times:
991 GT3 - 149mph
Shelby GT350 - 142-144mph

Tie downs?

You should have seen how many people would slow down and take video and pics of the Mustang...oh yeah, and the GT3!

I would love to know how you are securing your 350 to your trailer? I'm planning on taking mine out in an enclosed trailer with D rings in it now and they just aren't going to work with the usual ratchet tie downs due to the lower front splitter. My 66 has welded on tie downs and the typical tie down straps work fine with it. My thought was to install E-track and use a wheel net with the idler pulley to keep it all very low in front. Any suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You're my new idol! :D

And I do agree... the 991 GT3 is a whole new level. Even with the GT350-R, the GT3 is still above & beyond.... my opinion. ;)
Some people just have way too much fun!
