Thought this would be kind of a fun thread to compare braking and tire setups.

1.05g’s on stock PP1 brakes with staggered 285/305 super sport tires.

Did not get into the ABS so there is more there.

some of you track guys must be in the 1.3 G+ area

Only 1.28 at the last autocross, but thats not the grippiest site and autocross usually isnt always the easiest place to focus on braking technique.

You know braking is one thing that good street tires like the MP4S usually do as well or even better than many track tires. Its kind of the only thing a street tire *must* do well. My truck’s K02s aint gonna win any awards for brake distances

My Racebox says 1.41G of braking last time out at my local race track this is stock brembo's , AR-1 305/30/19, Gloc R12/R8 brake pads.

This is with El Cheapos Velox Petlas 275 fronts and 285 rear tires. Done on a nice piece of concrete road, near my work. I was in sport mode if that matters any. 2 Piece Steeda rotors and Z26 pads.

1.79 lateral G’s? Did you get T-boned? That’s crazy

Peak G's are meaningless. A poorly executed donut with snap catch or loss of grip would give exactly that - a split second high value.

I think that was from when I went through a round-about and touched the pavers and lost traction for a split second at the rear.

Yes, I believe that is what happened to get that reading.

The 1.86 and 1.79 values are rumoured to be something that happens during the build / at the factory, maybe to do with the calibration ? Lots of members have had identical high values, that they can’t repeat after resetting the meter.

I have done 1.04 braking (after a meter reset lol) on the street : MR / PP1 / MPS4's / good tarmac / smooth brake application / no ABS intervention / scrubbing off 60+ mph before entering a a roundabout.

That reading was after a reset.

So I needed a so called "smoke" break and reset the meter again.
Track mode and Advance track off. Same patch of road and roundabout. Could not repeat my reading and I really tried.

So what sets off such a high reading? Low speed jamming on the brakes maybe?

That looks more like it for 'road' readings, without anything strange going on etc :like:
