Unlatch handle question

When you unlatch unfold your handle and it unlocks, do you re-lock it and stow the roof with the Handle still down or do you fold the handle back up?

I leave it open with the handle down. When I close it, I just turn and lock it back. Never had an issue.

I do the same. I just opened the latch handle and realized the handle cannot be returned to its stowed position unless you open the top a few inches, stop it and then twist and return the handle to its stowed position -an awkward process. The owners manual doesn’t state whether to keep the latch down or up but apparently it’s designed to stay down and not interfere with the top stowing properly.

That’s what I’ve been doing, but then wondered if leaving it open would put a mark etc in the top that folds into or under it.

Have always left my handle in the unlocked position with no issues.

Safety issue. So you can hear the latch and and not have it drowned out by music.

Straight from the manual:

When you latch or unlatch the convertible top, the audio system mutes briefly. This allows the vehicle to optimize the cabin’s sound quality depending on the position of the convertible top.

Another little gem is the "secret" compartment where they stow away the manual... when I bought my coupe I told the dealer that I never received a manual.. so they sent me a new copy. A few weeks later I was watching a you tube video and someone demonstrated where the manual was and how to open the top hatch of the glove box... :doh: :shrug:

I actually found the spot to stow the manual right away because my 2011 had a spot to stow it in a similar spot. No need to read the manual for that lol. One day I will thumb through the manual.
