Added additional garage lighting towards the back end of the garage (closest to the doors). Really makes a different when working on the back end of the vehicle and overall brightness of the interior itself. Thought about going with longer tube lighting, but decided to keep it simple. I don't plan on doing paint correction anytime soon.

Swiss Trax Flooring Project:
Well, after 3 years of research, saving and dreaming I finally installed the Swiss Trax flooring system in my garage. From start to finish it took me 3 days which included cleaning/prep of the garage floor, unboxing the product, and the actual install. As many have stated, the bulk of the install time is cutting the tiles to fit specific areas, especially corners.
I used a circular saw with blue tape as a guide for the majority of the straight cuts and a jigsaw for some of the more elaborate shapes. You really have to pay attention to which side you are measuring and cutting from. I only miscut one tile at the very beginning which prompted me to label each tile's front, left and right side before measuring and doing the final cuts. This helped tremendously.
I also received some instructions from Swiss Trax regarding installation in a 3 car garage with a 2ft inset on the third stall.
Basically you lay out the first 3 rows with the final row spilling into the third stall. From there you have to cut the first row of tiles on the inset in half and then attach the tiles to the front edging using metal clips. I was concerned about the border not being equal all the way around but it really turned out great and fits the dynamics of the floor layout.
Really love the color combination as both my Shelby and Bronco have blue, black and gray accents. It also blends well with the slatwall and cabinets.
Overall I would highly recommend this product - tiles seem really durable and no issues with the floor shifting or buckling when driving in.
Didn't get a picture with the Bronco inside of the garage, but it will be inside during the winter and match well with the color scheme.

Dammit. Every time I talk myself out of SwissTrax/RaceDeck to go the epoxy route, I see awesome floors like this. Great job, Lorne. I see you picked tile colors that resemble the Shelby colors. Nicely done.

Lorne has been on the grind. The garage looks great. I love how almost everything is wall mounted.

I feel like Swiss Trax is the perfect reason to wash your car barefoot in the garage too. How many people can say that?

You could always go porcelain Tile instead :)

Sorry for the photo dump.

Holy Schmoly @pilotgore ... what a beautiful garage!!!!!

Using young undocumented child labor for subway tile installation was a wise move in saving money with respect to labor costs, but it may rub some folks the wrong way. They did do a fine job!

Is the beast on the lift a kit car?

The bathroom is the best.... WELL DONE & very creative!

First off, thank you :)

Second of all, those kids are absolutely documented…. They have to be documented in order for me to deduct them on my taxes :) Now, are they paid, helllll nah!!!

Yes, the car on the lift is a superlite GTR, modeled after the Robertson Ford GT that podium’s at Le Mans. That particular one…. I’m just holding that for a friend ;)

Thanks on the bathroom. A lot of work went into that garage. My wife’s garage adjacent to that one is boring :)
