No don't. If it aint broke dont fix it :like: I almost never update my apps because they fix one thing and screw another. Only after they force me I do lol
Good luck with that I didn't update but in their infinite wisdom they did it for me with no way to go back!!!

Hopefully the squeaky wheel will get the oil, everyone not satisfied with the new app should do as I had done flood Ford with emails and or phone calls about how bad the app is. Don’t know if anything would come of it but at least I tried.

According to the new app both of my vehicles are always parked.

Lucky for me I guess but I'm still using the old app. even after it updated to the new one and I was able to go back to the old one. There was a survey I had to answer and I gave them a đź‘Ž on everything about the new one.

I am grateful for this app. My other cars Jeep and Lexus, charge for their app usage. Ford Pass is free, appreciate that. You could be paying $15/mo. to Jeep or $90/yr. to Lexus.

On the service side, I use Carfax. My dealer(s) loads services in there, and I can track all my vehicles on their site or app including my own or others' services.

Don’t say that too loud or Ford will hear you and start doing the same 🤭

Free or paid for if they take the features out then the app does you no good.

Just in case anyone is interested here is the response I received form Ford social media.

They never answered the issue that some or most of us were forced to have the update forced upon us.

"Good afternoon, George. Thank you for taking the time to send us a message. My name is Will and I'm a Social Media Specialist for Ford. At this time, some FordPass App features have either be removed from the new FordPass App redesign or will become temporarily unavailable. We will provide owners with an update on these features timing for the new app experience as soon as more information is available. For more information, I would recommend contacting our FordPass Guides at 800-883-2966 (9:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. EST (Monday-Thursday); 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. EST (Friday-Sunday)).
What I would like to do for you today is document your experience in our system as feedback. If you would, at your earliest convenience, please provide me with the following information:
Your full name:
Your zip code:
Your email:
Your mobile phone number:
Any other details you'd like to add to your feedback notes:

Might be worth a phone call. Not surprised on the response from the social media team. They probably don’t have much interaction with the actual FordPass developers. They may not even be in the same location

Would you care or even use it, if they made you paid for using the app? Even to remote start it or car status? Free is free, they could charge you, then you have a right to be PO'd.

Depending on the cost I would pay as there were features I used alot, location as if vehicle were stolen I could get close enough to find it, which now does not work on my app.

”Location” is clearly there when you open the app! How are you missing that? Tap it and there it will find your car for free!

Works for me on an iPhone. Maybe something in permissions or settings in the app or your phone needs adjusting?

I do not care for the current version. I uninstalled it and rolled back to version 4.37, which was the last update before the UI change. I have uploaded the backup APK to my Google drive if you want to install it for Android. You will need to uninstall the Fordpass app first, make sure you have install unknown apps enabled in your system settings and then open APK file which will install the application.
