Hey guys,

I want to buy a 2017 GT base soon and I want to lower it asap, which suspension setup can you recommend?

I absolutly love the look of the eibach sportline springs and it would be nice if i could combine them with the FPP track handling pack, is that possible or should i just use the sportlines with the OEM shocks that come with the GT base model?

How does the stance of the FPP track handling pack look like compared to stock and eibach sportlines?

What are your goals for the car? Do you want the car to be more of a comfortable, good looking cruiser or a handling machine? Based on that, I could suggest options.

I would not run any aftermarket springs outside of BMR Performance or Steeda progressive with the base shocks and struts. Even those would be a stretch.

I want a handling machine. But don't forget, that doesn't mean that it has to be stiff like hell.
Thought about a staggered wheel setup as well with 20x9 offset 30 front and 20x10.5 offset 30 rear with 255/35r20 and 275/35r20

Regardless of springs I would go with the Steeda Pro Action shocks and struts. There are a ton of spring options available to suit what you want (stiffness, drop), see here:

For other handling mods, I'd go with the BMR CB005 cradle lockout kit and would get the FRPP strut tower and cowl brace kit. Well-chosen springs, dampers, IRS cradle stabilization and chassis bracing will make it carve corners.

Curious, why would you not suggest springs with the base shocks and struts?

So would you say that this works?

Shocks and Struts:

For the Steeda Struts and Shocks there is the following note

Fitment Note
- Will NOT fit GT350.
- Modification of the stock rear stock mount is required for proper installation.

What do I have to modify?

Get them from Steeda and save some money:
https://www.steeda.com/steeda-pro-action-shocks-and-struts-for-s550-non-adjustable-en.html

That's an error that you have to modify the mount for the fixed-valve versions. That said, I would HIGHLY recommend getting these with them:
https://www.steeda.com/billet-rear-...le-pro-action-and-koni-rear-shocks-15-17.html

The billet mounts really help add compliance back into the rear suspension and get rid of uncontrolled oscillations and bounciness from the stock mounts. There's details as to why, but these work really well.

If you really like Sportlines, those will work very well with them. If it were me I'd go BMR Handling springs, Steeda Ultralite or Swift Spec R, as the Sportlines are a very aggressively progressive spring rate.

They can barely handle the rates the car has without being underdamped. The PP dampers aren't too bad, but the base are really lacking. Nearly all the aftermarket springs have rates that are pushing the limits of what the PP dampers can control adequately.

I run the FR Track struts with Sportline springs, and they work extremely well together.

I am only using the Track Struts with the Eibach Sportline springs (same as in your link), not the whole kit. I have aFe Sway Bars and a bunch of Steeda parts as listed in my signature.

Here is the strut kit on its own.

ok, thanks man. I think I will go with the FPP track handling kit and the Eibach sportlines.

I have heard that some people have clunk noises with a swaybar and they used this here to prevent it:
http://www.suspension.com/dll138

Do i need to buy these as well?

Guys,

I browsed around a lot and watched a lot of videos about suspension setups. I'm not sure anymore what to buy for a 2017 GT without PP.

Should I go with the Ford Performance street handling kit + Eibach Sportlines? Would that work out without being out of camber spec?
Or should I go with a Steeda setup? There are so many options, the only thing I know is, that I would like to have the drop of the Eibachs but I want to stay in the OEM camber spec.

I don't want to take parts of the OEM suspension and mount them to aftermarket parts, I want something that I can just install plug and play (I just would exchange springs with the Eibach ones if needed)

Please help me get a nice suspension setup max price is $1500

I'm doing the same as you with my base GT. After a lot of reading and guidance from members (thanks BmacIL wildcatgoal ), I'm going with the following:

- Eibach Sportlines
- Steeda fixed Pro Actions
- Steeda Subframe bushings and alignment kit (similar results as CB005 but different design)
- Front camber bolts (pick your make, plenty of offerings)
- Steeda billet rear shock mounts

I'll eventually upgrade swaybars but think this is a solid starting point. With your 1500$ budget you could even add those and other goodies to the list.

I'd recommend picking up the steeda subframe braces if you're going with their subframe support system. It completes the package in similar fashion to how the CB005 front arms do.
