Raising the front would make this look much more like a mustang. I really don't understand why they had to lower the front even further than it currently is.

I love my high rise hood. It gives it that 1.5" cowl look from the inside.

We don't know if PI/DI and higher compression were the only changes made to the Coyote. They could also have modified the cams to maximize the new injection system, along with the intake manifold, exhaust manifold, etc.

We need to wait to see what the full technical details on the new Coyote is before making a real, educated guess.
From what I'm led to believe.
The rods and pistons are upgraded in the truck version. I think this will also carry over with the Stang.....at least the pistons.
The intake has changed on the truck or at least it appears that way in the pictures. I think this will be the same with the Mustang.
No word about the headers and exhaust.
Cams I think changed some for both vehicles.
Not to sure about any of this.......:frusty:

Yeah, Erik427, I agree. From what I have viewed online it appears there is an improvement to the HP, TQ and the revability--including a higher redline. Some say there is an increase in valve size. If there is, I would expect different valve springs, followers and cams as well. I like the improvements to the crank dampener, the upgraded rod and crank bearings and the composite oil pan. As I'll be supercharging mine, those are all important. But another big question for me is if they have gone to billet OPG's and crank timing sprocket.

I'm guessing it will make at least 475 horsepower. Look at the 2011-2012 Hyundai Genesis 3.8. It too had a switch from port injection to direct injection paired with an increase in the compression ratio.
3.8 PI(2011 Genesis) 290hp/264tq vs 3.8 DI (2012 Genesis) 333hp/291tq

Plus, I like the idea of the 10-speed auto with a deeper first gear for harder launches and two overdrives.

The Ford website says it is running both Port and Direct Injection. Not sure how that works, but the intake will definitely be different.

Considering the current mustang with rwd has enough issues keeping traction, I seriously doubt a weight reduction. Not without reworking the chassis and suspension to the point it would be competing outside its class.

I can't believe they made it even longer than the '15-'17, which is already a bit too long for my taste. (According to a Ford rep at the reveal). Unnecessary length too, by the way!

I'm really looking forward to seeing the new key fob. I might just buy that if it's nicer than the current one.

Maybe they did away with the stupid thing. :clap2:

Maybe it's just me but I think it's very gimmicky and corny.
