Here's what I think. If Eric is happy with the sound and performance then I say good for him and who cares what others think. It's his car and money. I myself like the sound of the stock exhaust but I'm also installing ARH long tubes and off road X pipe. I know it'll be loud and I'm also keeping the stock mufflers for the time being and I won't change them until I see fit but I also won't change them unless I find something with the active exhaust. I'm curious how the roush active muffles sound. Until then I'm keeping the stock mufflers. I remember the days when flowmasters ruled the 5.0 mustang and you could tell it was a mustang 5 miles away before even seeing the car. I'd be interested in what other brand of mufflers will sound like when the time comes.
I love the sound of the exhaust. It's different from both the Ferrari V8s and V12s, but it has elements of each plus a great American burble. It's in my top 5 of all time.
I love the way the stock exhaust sounds, especially with our off road pipes. I would like to hear it when we get the H pipe installed and hear it with Long Tubes as well.
I agree, in videos right now it's not that typical throaty sound and does sound tinney, but most owners love it. When mine comes in then I can hear it in person.
It sounds great IMO, but I will wait to hear mine in person, under load, going through tunnels, and bouncing back into the cabin off k-walls before I make my final judgement
I don't know a single person who's driven or ridden in one who didn't think it was awesome. Free revs and youtube don't really do it. It's definitely top 5 I've ever heard, mostly because of how unique and raw it is.
One of the most unique sounding cars i've ever heard. American muscle meets exotic. Only car i've heard that mildly reminds of this sound is the Aston Martin V12. If a car has poor sound I don't even consider it (which is why I opted for a Carrera S over a 911 Turbo).
