Within 6 hours of picking the car up

Hit a dip or something in St. Augustine when looking for dinner in the evening.

Made it about 130 miles. Even took the spot at angle and it really wasn't that much of a dip, very surprised it actually scraped to be honest.

After driving mine for a few weeks now, I have decided the splitter is a disposable part. I've taken dips at an angle and still scrape it. I gave up on worrying about a slight scrape here and there. I still try to minimize them, but I don't loose sleep over then now. For example I was doing some spirited driving and came upon a slight dip in the road. It did not look that steep at 70. Well, it was and a nice scrape was had. I quit looking to be honest. I know my rivets are silver now.
Once it gets to the point of almost falling off, I will replace it. I have a feeling it will take pretty good beating before that happens.

In a country where you should only drive in a Jeep, yes, my splitter's underside is scratched and scraped like battle tested.

Now, if the bolts and rivets are all worn out, will that be a problem to remove and then install the underside after the oil line recall? I'm wondering if the dealer will or should have these bolts or rivets in stock?

I scratched mine last night and now cannot leave the garage until the garage asphalt is paved so I don't scratch again. I've got around 60-70kms lol.

Nothing visible on the top side. A few scrapes underneath - one had a plastic 'beard' which I filed down. As long as the top stays clean I think they are expected battle scars. The underside of this car has a lot of shielding (likely for aero efficiency), so an underside scrape does not concern me as the belly seems well covered and protected.

... also agree a 360 camera would be a must for this car to protect the splitter and rims. Amazing to me there is not much aftermarket offerings for Mustangs. Second, a magnaride setting to raise the nose for those spots likely to scrape.

I had bought a dash cam that came with a back up cam. Mounted the back uo cam under the bumper looking down on the front edge of the splitter. I can switch it on when needed it for parking.

Every time I go to someplace new, it's like I'm "casing the joint," as I have to do two laps around to see 1) how I'm going to get into the parking lot and 2) how I'm going to get back out.
