Don't temp me. I said I wasn't doing drivetrain mods...... How much for that tune?
It's about six hundee(That's $600 if you don't do slang talk) and the tune comes with a cold air intake. If you want to keep your warranty in tact for the motor, get it done at a Ford Dealership.

As far as cosmetic mods go, my carbon fiber hood is the favorite thing on my car. It's the first thing people drool over besides hearing the car. I think carbon fiber looks great on these Stangs.

As far as performance mods go, exhaust hands down.

The ecoboost one came with a GT350 intake tube and filter, the dealer allowed me to install that and I brought them a laptop with the tune loaded and ready to go. They charged me 1 hour of labor to flash it. I got the kit itself from levittown I think, but I can't remember the price.

Same for my GT kit, but I only ordered the FP1 which only has a K&N drop in plus the tune. Did it the same way, downloaded the tune onto the computer and brought it in for them, charged 1 hour of labor for the flash.

There are huge threads about them in the 2.3 and 5.0 sections. It may be a while before we see one for a 2018 model though.

Cobb Accessport tuner. Nothing else has made as big a difference in how much fun it is to drive my car, and with the economy mode you can get a little better mileage than stock, so you can justify it as paying for itself.

Steeda Triax short throw shifter is a close second. With the stock stick, I always felt like 5th was just a hair more of a stretch than my arm was comfortable with, and going into 6th needed an awkward angle of my wrist. The Triax fixed that.

As for the most cost-effective, I'll go with the Steeda clutch release spring. It's only $20 and makes the clutch much better. Not stiff IMO, but firm and with feedback, unlike the soft and mushy original.

Wheels are another big favorite. I found a set that I really like the looks of, and are a whole lot lighter than the OE.

Lighter wheels and wider tires.

I would also buy her a set of ZL1 add on rock guards to keep the sides of the car cleaner.

2 years later my Stainless Works catback is still the best mod I could ever have for this car. Still the perfect combination of tone and volume.

Favorites in some kinda order:

1. Ford Performance Tune
2. Hood Struts
3. Strut Tower/K-Brace
4. Base Dash Trim (I hated the premium bright aluminum)

Realistically, I am glad I did all of my modifications - big or small. And there is a decent chance after Saturday my cat-back exhaust will be my favorite, since that's the day I'm putting it on.

I installed this shoebox looking thing that says Roush on it. I put it right on top of the motor and it makes the car seems way faster. That's been my favorite.
