That looks AWESOME! I'd be worried about it losing a heck of a lot of rigidity though. Corvettes could have the fully removable roof since they have a full frame, but the Mustang hasn't got that luxury. If it had a more traditional T-bar roof setup (ala T-Tops) that could possibly work.

But like I said, that just looks amazing! I'd do it!

But then again, I've always had a thing for T-Tops!
Looks like that may be a Dodge Daytona Shelby Z (87-89)???
We had an 84 Chrylser Laser Turbo. That thing was pretty sweet back in the day :headbang:

There is another thread about this by Sal33n. Looks cool as an aftermarket would be concerned about leaks and such.

It's a photo-shop, a very good one.

It kind of makes the Mustang look like a giant Supra..

As long as it wasn't pouring in like a hose, lol. I'd risk it. I know their would be some braces to put in but worth it!! I'm thinking more Ferrari look.

I came across this yesterday. I don't know if it's a photo shop or a prototype. If it's the real deal I want this! I hope some one comes up with this aftermarket
OK I love that, dear ford please make this an option for the 2018.

I always prefer the targa top look to convertible. I hate how convertibles have that chopped off look.

Reminds me of the corvette removal hard top. Looks damn good though, even better than a vert, and should be an option

Would rather see this option than a true convertible, but then again, I don't care much for true convertibles.

Convertible versus 'chop top'...

When I was researching the difference between a convertible and a hardtop, Ford constantly stated that they had to stiffen the convertible body. The hardtop did not need stiffening because the hardtop gave the chassis more rigidity.
Chopping off the hardtop has to create a lot of twisting, when all of that HP and torque is applied to the chassis.
But I do agree, I like the looks of this vehicle.
