My R is due for an arrival the week of 4/4. Would it be possible to install the system before I leave the dealership? Or is it to involved. I have a plethora of experience. I specialize in Ford products. It will not do the vehicle harm by not installing it right away. What it will do is start to let the vapor - mist of oil from the PCV start to coat the Intake tract and Tb along with the rest of the engine. I generally install the UPR Catch Can on my vehicles after I get them home.
You'll be fine until you get the system installed. Also PM me for the system you need and I'll set you up.

You could easily install it at the dealership with a few simple tools. The dealership would likely even install it for you if you asked. My R is due for an arrival the week of 4/4. Pass side by far.....Curious which side tends to collect more oil? Anyone have collectors on both sides?
Good ring seal and calmer driving will reduce oil through the PCV a bit. Also, it depends on the temperature outside as it gets cooler the oil will be heavier and you'll get less in your catch can. As the temps get hotter outside the oil gets very thin and then the vapor bandits go to work.I'm not getting as much in mine now at 13k. I'm hoping that is due to both a combination of better warm up habits, and a nice ring seal. I might be driving a bit less crazy too as I have got used to the car.
