I finally got some time to install some toys I purchased a while back with the intentions of having it done prior to the last track event. Anyway, I installed an AIM Smarty Cam HD linked to an AIM Solo DL (data logger) that plugs into the OBD port. I also got the external microphone adapter and ran a line through the car, exiting the rear at the right license plate light. The microphone can be detached and the line can be pushed back in for storage while not in use.

Everything on this setup can be removed easily and nothing has been altered in the car. .

BTW...I got my rear Hoosier R7's in yesterday, but the Hoosier plant had a shortage of the front tires. I am hoping to get them in by Tuesday before I leave town so they can be mounted. Otherwise, I will have to stick with the stock tires again.

Really excited to hear your review. I have been looking at the same exact set up.

I'm really interested to see how you like that placement of your microphone. I have an Olympus microphone that looks very similar to that and haven't figured out where to put it yet.

Very nice. Love the RS.

I would consider getting a wind sock for the mic if you don't have one.

Have you read the curing instructions for the Hoosiers? Seems complicated.

I bought the extension wire and mic for my go pro.
Also noticed a rubber grommet in the tire well, will try and
go through their, clip it to same spot.
Just need an OBD wifi dongle now.

I'll come over and wash that RS for you - but I'll be in my underwear...and you'll have to watch.

It will be clipped to the tag. I have done this in the past and it gets great sound.

Will do. I got tired of fooling with the Gopro and the batteries dying in the middle of a session.

Very nice. Love the RS.

This mic does a pretty good job the way it is. Very little wind noise gets through due to the location. That said, I might try it out as well to see the difference.

315/30-19 They do not have an exact match for the rear, so I had to go 10mm wider.

No, I have not. Guess I will have to do more reading before next weekend.

There is another grommet right behind the passenger tail light. This is the one I used.

LOL! Man, the RS is so nasty! I still have not washed that car after two track events.

Here is a short clip to test out the sound. I did not upload HD quality in order to save time. That said, I still think it might be a good idea to put a something around the mic to reduce what little wind noise there is.

It tells me the video is private and I cannot view. Thanks for trying, though.
