Track Pack Shipped With R Splitter

Helllo,

I'm new to this forum, and just bought a new left over 2016 GT350 track pack. When I was negotiating on the car the one salesman said that the car was unique because it was ordered early in 2016 when they were able to order them with "track" front splitters. After questioning him further about this he said that prior to March 2016 they could add the R front splitter on the track pack cars. The window sticker has nothing indicating an optional splitter. From what I can tell it has the R front splitter I just find it to be a strange story from the salesman. Can anyone confirm that this was an option? Was it a common option?

Pretty sure an "R" splitter on a non-R wasn't an option for '16MY. You scored!

You can't believe anything that comes out of a car salesman's mouth. They're very often "alternate facts". At least they didn't try to convince you it was an R model.

These things usually come packaged in boxes that look like this below and are placed in the trunk during transport from FRAP to dealership where they finally install it during PDI....so most likely the "R" splitter pkg was inadvertently thrown in there so consider yourself quite lucky.

If that did occur... then someone out there with a real deal "R" car got gipped.

Unless of course the R owner realized it and made the dealer order the correct splitter.... I know I would. :addle:

Salesman doesn't know shit. My car built Sept 2015 no such option existed for a non-R.
