Dual use, but pretty limited street miles (road course 4ish times a year).

I have an older Hunter align system and level'd 4 post/plates. Plan on setting front camber in both track/street positions, see how much toe changes, then hopefully change toe "back" after track use, without setting up align system. I did get Vorshlag's front plates, so that should help on resetting camber (before/after).

I'm OK with a more aggressive "street" alignment, even if tires wear a bit more. I only put 11K miles on my S197 (in 10 years)

No need to reset then.
Keep the camber at -3 in the front with 0 toe
Keep rear at-1.8 and 0.25° toe total in in the rear.
Simple like that :)

Thanks for the toe info.

Could just leave it I guess. Will have to see how ambitious I am
after a track day. Might just be left out of laziness. 🙂

The day you find a difference between 0.25° toe out or 0° ...man that means you are next level driver and your car is at ford perf racecar levels 😀
Zero toe will keep your tires great. Camber is what is really makes a huge difference for performance

Front toe should be very slightly in if you care about inside tire wear. Maybe 1/16 an inch or something small like that.

I run like 1/8 inch rear toe in as well.

I meant just leave the camber, instead of moving it to something more "street" friendly, after track use. I just assumed when you changed camber, you change toe some (maybe not enough to matter).

Yes you do change toe.
That is why you dont need to touch the 3deg camber and 1.8 rear.
3deg is ok. If you feel is "too much" you can do 2.7
But again camber doesnt really destroy tires. Is the toe.

I use SmartStrings with their camber gauge. I like 0 degrees toe for the front and about .2 degrees toe in for the rear. Just FYI I’m at -3.5 degrees front and -1.9 degrees rear camber. Zero front toe helps with turn in. This in roadcourse specifically Mid Ohio. I do little to no road driving, maybe to a meet or show.

Zero front toe here, no problem on track from a performance standpoint. Some slight gains in turn in and mid corner if you run front toe out - at least 1/4" but I found that was a quick crutch for other setup problems which were the root cause of the understeer - (not enough rear spring or bar)

Rear toe - on stock bushings I ran betwwen 1/8-1/4" (0.3-0.6deg).
Recently changed to spherical lower control arm and toe link bearings. Now run less - 0-1/16" and it feels just as planted, if not even better.
