This past Sunday at Laguna had great weather and some great cars. I was in the advanced group which got merged with the race group from the day before.

There were 2 M2 race cars, a few radicals and more. In my group I did pretty well time wise versus what I was up against. I had a new GT3 on me for my last session for a good 4 laps before I pitted. Even with roasted RE71R I still managed to do well even as this is my second time at this track.

I passed sound all day with my "Laguna pipes" other than once when I tracked out close to the sound tower and forgot to short shift into 4th.

Although I really like the RE71R tires, after 3 trackdays they are done. They get greasy when they get up to temp so I'll be switching to slicks for my race in July.

This is also my first time out with the DSC controller from Cortex.

I also bought the Waylens camera as they had a 30 day free trial. While the video quality is good, the speed and rpm are very laggy as you can see from their obd2 dongle. So it's going back.

Nice job. I like the overlay on the video though. Shame the data isn’t quite synced up. Is it 100% plug and play with no adjustments?

Nice driving, you can see/hear the tires giving way 1/2 way in approaching corkscrew- been there done that co big in too hot. Your not using plugs on your loud pipes, just he LS turnouts right? Also in Quiet exhaust mode. It would sound awesome with valves open, but know that track doesn't like sound! I've only been there on one 105db day... all the big boys cam out.

Very cool video. Thanks for posting!! When I was at UMC in April for our free track training day, we were all laughing at each other how much we were all accidentally turning on the windshield wipers in quick turns.I see even skilled drivers do this as well??

Nice work, enjoyed the videos. looks like you were struggling with a bit of mid corner understeer at times. Probably due to the RE71Rs going off or your alignment?

Happy tracking!

Thank you, yes it is 100% plug and play. Super easy to use, it's a real bummer.

I need to figure out my GoPro and Harry's LapTimer overlay, hopefully it will work at my next event.

Yeah I've been working on it, one of the laps in the video was bad. After I passed the z28 he tried to dive bomb and I broke way too late.

Nope, I already blew my first motor by chance so before going to Laguna I called FP and they were strongly against the plugs.

Yeah tell me about it, the three eyed toads who live 3 miles away need their sleep I guess!

Haha! Well I hit that corner way too fast and almost lost it. The car oversteered and I was correcting and hit the lever...

My alignment is now 2.75 Camber front and 2.5 rear, I think I may need more due to the outer camber wear I'm seeing.

The video started in lap 3 for that session and by then I knew the tires were done. They were totally greased over and I could just feel the car sliding everywhere.

Did it feel like the GT3 behind you was faster but just not fast enough to pass?

2.75 or 1.75 camber? What pressure did the RE71Rs get to during that hot run?

Honestly I got past him pretty quick. In the straights I would slowly pull on him and I was able to gain some distance in the corners as well.

At the very end I let him pass because I knew my tires were done.

2.75 front 2.5 rear

I kept them at 34/35 hot the whole day which seems to be their sweet spot
