I saw Ford performance parts has an air filter, (blue in color). Any performance increase vs. the standard R car issued filter unit? Thank you!

I upgraded mine to the FP one. I wouldn't go as far as saying that their was any power increase but the quality of the filter itself is noticeably better than stock.

Does the R version come with the same air filter as the standard 350?

Ford Performance is out of stock as of last week on the Air Filter. Airaid makes the Filter for FP. I got mine from Leathal Performance for Less Money.

They also have it available in Red

FP is made by Airaid, get the Airaid on amazon on any color you like. Cheaper. Just don't get the oiled one.

Amazon was more expensive than Lethal Performance. At least last week.

However if you're a prime member, shipping was free. Not so with Lethal Performance. So I think it comes out to a wash???

I got the red oil K&N from Amazon. They don't show a PN for GT350, but get the 2014 GT500 filter.

The Synthamax dry media is much better than the oiled for reasons mentioned. The oiled version gets dirty faster as well.

Presume that means it working better.
I use the K&N filters on all of my cars. They work great. Have for many decades.
If you put too much oil on them after cleaning, you might get some oil on the MAF. After I re-oil, and before install, I lightly run a paper towel over the entire filter to wipe off any excess oil. Never had an issue with a MAF.

Like someone said, the standard GT500 filter is the exact fit.

Just can't get enuff!
I had this K&N on my '15 GT350.... no issues at all on or off the track. Perfect stock OEM fitment... as stated, it's actually the same one used for the latest GT500 cars. I also have a new spare and will likely use that on the R when the stock one needs to be replaced.

I like the stock one. They seem to get dirty quickly, so I replace it much more often than recommended. I think I've already replaced it 5 times.

Similar to my philosophy with oil. I use the factory recommended part and change often.
