Its the Indian, not the arrow.
That is a new quote for me. *notes it down*

Assuming it comes from:
It’s the rider not the horse.
It’s the captain, not the ship.

Friendly reminder that I once took fastest street tire raw time at a 60 person event in a v6 stick axle Mustang. The motor just had a Bama tune, intake, and shorty headers.

before wings became common and before the ND STR Miata, this sort of thing was not impossible. Now I can end up like 5th and the top 4 drivers are in the same ND Miata.

Ok, so video didn't exactly work out, but hope the screenshots give a good idea - center vent stripes are standing up across the vent surface, side vents don't do much at speed. When car is standing, side vents help extract quite a lot of heat from sides of the engine. Behavior is consistent at undisclosed speeds that certainly didn't go up to 90 mph :giggle:

On the aero side of the equation we can use More's theorem.
*More's better

With this sort of thing power is a complete afterthought. Get as much as you can balance if your excess is on the front. Just get everything you can if the excess is on the rear.

The only US race track for you where increasing downforce will hurt you is possibly Daytona, but probably not even there.

Roger. I am curious whether these Louvers will solve my heat problem without having to add the heavier CSF rad. We shall see.

I hope they do!

Make sure the front gaps are all sealed, too.

Meaning above headlight area? Between headlight and hood? Or the front gap where the louvers are in the hood?

All the places where you can see that air might leak into the engine bay without going through the rad.
