Attended the Cars in the Park show in Meridian, ID yesterday. Great turnout of cars of all kinds, probably 400 or more. It took us four hours to walk the aisles.'
Out of that crowd, I counted seven S550s including mine, which I did show. Interesting breakdowns:
7 Fastbacks, no Verts
5 GTs, one EB, one LE
5 PPs (including the EB and the LE), 2 not
4 MTs, 3 ATs (including the EB PP and the LE)
7 Premiums, no Base
1 LE, 2 AP, 1 Redline PCAG, 3 Ebony leather
1 Recaro (a GT PP Ebony), 6 standard seats
1 FRPP exhaust (the Recaro GT PP)
1 Flowmaster Axle-back (another of the GT PPs)
1 Kona Blue (LE)
1 DIB (GT PP)
2 Competition Orange (GT PP, EB PP)
1 Silver (GT AT)
1 Race Red (GT PP)
1 Oxford White
That was more S550s in one place on one day that I have seen in all the rest of my life, put together. Pretty fun.
The CO GT PP with the Flowmasters is owned by a good old boy who likes to use it for 90 mph jaunts to Ontario, OR and back. Kind of a fun road, I liked that.
The Kona LE AT belonged to the wife. The husband owns a 14 GT500 (triple black) and it appears they have a 13 Raptor just to keep them from getting bored. She proudly admitted having run the LE at Firebird Raceway, turning a 14.0 at 107. Hmm.
You meet a lot of great people at car shows.
