Looks good great write up. I would have gone with a different auto meter gauge but I like what you've done.

Yup.. I'm on that bandwagon of everyone else.. Should've gone for the EB Gauge, I don't see a reason to delete that vent just for a boost gauge...

I deleted my vent too, But for an nGauge.. That made it worth it.

EDIT: Sorry - wasn't trying to come off as an ass.. Just my experience with my ex race truck, It's so, so easy to over gauge yourself, And by that I mean adding additional gauges that we think we need, when reality is we don't...

So - My apologies, didn't mean to come off as an ass, Just feel that if you were to delete that vent that it should be worth it..

Thanks again OP.
Had mine done and love how it looks.Looks OEM and very functional since the cars gauge ( non PP) is inaccurate .
Hard to appreciate it in picture but looks factory.
I changed my color and it matches the gauge perfectly .

Can a mechanical gauge be put in the place of the vacuum gauge?

What if they are one and the same? Do you mean mechanical in place of digital? Or do you mean mechanical boost gauge in place of factory digital pressure gauge? Or do you literally mean any mechanical gauge in place of any type or a type of vacuum gauge?

Yes pull the vacuum out and replace it. Instead of loosing a vent.

Looks good! Air still comes around the vent and you get an accurate reading. Win-Win
