Rail car tracking !

As any of you guys tracked your cars without having a rail car # ?

I have the CSX phome number, but don't have a rail car number.

Call this number IF you have rail car number and follow prompts. Don't think without rail car number that there is anyway to track. Good luck and hope you guys receive your cars soon. Your dealer should be able to give you your railcar number.

I work for one of the Class 1 railroads. There is no good way that I am aware of for the general public to track a railcar. Something about national security.... :-)

Provide me a car number or VIN # and I can give you a location.

I'm glad to help when I can and I'll monitor this thread from time to time and provide info when I can but don't expect or rely on me for daily updates as I don't have the time for that.

With BNSF Railway, I can track a car w/o the railcar # by using the last 8 digits of the VIN. PM works best to contact me if you'd like me to check with BNSF on your car.

Hi, Donson, your VIN does not show up on BNSF Railway's website, so it must be on a different railroad. I can only view what's on BNSF.

Sorry I didn't have more info to share. Looks like Ford only uses BNSF for part of your car's journey. Looks like it transfers to another carrier to finish the trip into Canada.
