I'm a little timid to drive my car to work since I don't have a locking system for the wheels. Now with cars potentially being stolen from Ford and the wheels lifted in ATL, I'm not taking a chance.

I know the R lugs are different from the TeP/TrP lugs... Has anyone found a lock set that is safe yet?

The R was listed as coming with key'd lugs. Are you saying that's not the case? Is there a key in your glovebox?

FWIW, on my non-R, I bought some Gorilla X2 lugs. They seem like they add a reasonable amount of protection.

I was under that impression as well. I thought that I remember something about them being titanium as well.

I haven't seen a key yet. Maybe I'm delusional and just missed them. I'll get back to you in it.
Mattlx, did you get 4 gorillas (one for each wheel) or 20?

Typically, you just install one locking lug on each wheel. They come in sets of 4.

Just asking cause I've seen 20 on a car before... Guy had 22" Asantis... He lived in the hood.

My R came with 1 locking lug on each wheel - not sure if dealer installed or came from factory - either way would contact dealer to find out where yours are....

My R also came with lock nuts, but I am not sure where the key is.

I too am very worried about having this car in public. I will feel much better when I know it is safe, locked up at AMP.

Drum, if you didn't receive a set of four locking lug nuts with a key, definitely go to the dealership and ask if you can get a set.

Every R should have been delivered with a set, and shouldn't be a problem for the dealership to hook you up with a set.

You can see the locking lugs for the R-car in the below video:

Curious what fellow members think. What if I put 2 locking lugs on each wheel? Would that reduce performance/safety in any way. Do the locking lugs themselves have enough torque on them?

Can anyone confirm or deny that they're titanium?
