Finally got home and installed the Boomba knob. Very nice, it looks like it belongs in my interior unlike the stock knob. The extra weight is a plus, and it fits my big hands better. I didn't have to heat it up either, just screwed it tight and it lined up fine.
Great customer service too, it was shipped about an hour after I ordered it.

I am wanting to order me a shift knob thru speed dawg. What kind of wait times are you guys seeing when ordering thru them?

I only warmed mine up and it lined up flawless and snug. DI'd you find it sits a bit lower than the OE one? I thought mine sits lower by bout 1/4"

Seems about the same to me. Maybe tomorrow I'll put the old one on and take some measurements.

Maybe I was able to get it lower after warming the brass insert.

Weighed the Speeddawg knob before I send it back, just to see.

Of course, that's what the forum is for! Haha.

Mostly due to how the colors came out. I was hoping for a more vibrant gray/silver to match the silver trim in the cabin. Overall, it was just .. blah, uninspired. If that makes sense.

That plus the light weight is making me look towards Boomba. For $70 I want something that looks and feels good. I don't even know why someone would make a knob that's lighter than stock. If Boomba did colors other than black&white I'd have one already.

Wow I didn't realize the speed dawg knobs are less weight than stock. I like the boomba but I hate the edge the gave the bottom of the shifter. Looks like I will be canceling my order thru speed dawg a lighter shifter is not what I want

Thank you big time for your response man and information

I'm still gonna try the speed dawg, since they have so many options and colors.

I wonder how the weight difference will be, but you can alway return it with 30 days.

Wish Boomba had more options

I was looking at Flossy. Did you take a peek at those?

I don't see the issue with a light shift knob.

I just ordered a boomba. I'm tired of the lack of weight on the knob.

Anybody want a Speed Dawg Carbon GT knob?
