Impulse buy of the month...hope I don't regret

Bought a used R wing. It has a bunch of scratches on it which don't look like they will buff out. I've seen someone finish the wheels by slight sanding to expose the carbon and then UV clear. Might try that.

It was just listed on ebay. 2500 shipped. I figure I can just resell it if it's beyond what I want to attempt or something.

Why not take it to a body shop? They can scuff it, fill the scratches and repaint. It won't cost that much.

IMO it's a valuable piece, I would have a pro work on it to make sure it's done right.

that’s the thing about impulse buys...this wasn’t thought through completely except that I don’t think I’ll lose money in it.

I was pretty shocked even after paint correction of the number of light scratches on my R wing, all is fine until you shine a light on it at a certain angle.

lol very true. that's why i had mine xpel'd stand alone (in addition to the whole front car).

Taking it to a shop and paying for it is all you, so I'm 100% on board with that.
