I know the OP said no muscle cars...but if muscle cars are available but just couldn't have a Mustang, I'd buy the Camaro SS. I can't do Dodge (Fiat owned).

I like the looks of the challenger too, but just wish it wasn't so big. I also like the awd sport compacts like the RS or Evo but they are a little too pricey. I wish the WRX was better looking because its a good car under that ugly sheet metal.

If I couldn't own a muscle car, I'd go with a sports car...an older Miata or possibly the new Fiat 124 spyder and it must have a manual transmission

Maybe a used Porsche with a power adder. I would rather not buy Japanese and I don't like front wheel drive. I also don't like the driving position and ergonomics of the Focus. The Porsches I can afford don't make enough power, though.

I also wouldn't mind an M235i with the awd option. Great lines on that car.

If I didnt buy this Mustang, I would probably have my 4th Honda S2000 in my garage.

I bought my Mustang because its really isnt a "muscle car". I generally hate cars defined as such (Challenger which I still consider the ugliest car on the road). I bought the Mustang because its a sleek all around nice sports car. If you build it (independent rear suspension), they will come (you know, a car that can do more then go fast in a strait line).

Like many other owners of the generation Mustang, its my first American car in 25 years.

I'd take an Uber everywhere. Literally would be cheaper than my monthly payment + insurance by far...
