My daughter is 15 and has had her learners permit since November. This evening I stopped by a deserted industrial complex and let her drive the Shelby. I'm not comfortable enough with her driving in general to let her take this out on the streets! LOL

Love it, man!

I'd love to let my daughter drive mine when I get it. She's a total car nut. My son couldn't care less. Funny how things work out. LOL!

I (partially) taught my middle daughter to drive in my '08 Bullitt. She's the only one of my three girls that knows how to drive a stick. When your daughter giggles after shifting in that video...priceless.

I let my 14-year-old (at the time) cousin drive my '70 AMC Gremlin. 232 Six, 3 speed stick with manual steering and brakes. He did all right.

In a heartbeat. That's what the damn thing is for...driving and putting a smile on driver's faces. Already have a list of people who want to drive it when it arrives and happy to let them (with me as passenger).

I can only hope my daughter will also have purple hair while learning manual in my Mustang.

I have a 15 year old son. He better show me at least of year of responsible driving before I let him drive Lucy. My first car was a 69 mach, it was slow when compared to this car and I was completely irresponsible and unsafe with it.

I'm not so worried about the car as I am about him killing himself. That said, I will most likely teach him to drive clutch with it as long as I'm sitting next to him, white knuckling.

Well done! My dad was a big car guy, my mom (maybe by default) loved cars too. My dad died when I was in high school and thereafter my mom and I had a special bond over cars. She ditched her economy car and bought a 1983 BMW 633 csi manual from a friend of hers and taught me how to drive on that car. I will never forget learning how to drive that car and the confidence it gave me. What a cool experience, the video is short, but you sound like a great teacher.

The only thing I can remember having trouble with was learning how to properly stop the car and downshifting. Great work man!
