Dropped by my local dealer and they had this mural on the wall.
I had no idea the design went through such drastic changes, you can see the 80s influence come on strong and then fade away.

This is why I laughed so hard at the people who swore the 15 "doesn't look like a Mustang," and at the idiots at Motor Trend who claimed "it isn't a real Mustang unless it has round headlights."

Look at that poster and tell me again "what a Mustang looks like." And I counted. 27 model years out of 50, the headlamps have been NOT round.

Damn that red and white 78 abomination.
Just add mullet! Already on the grass

What I don't understand is the serious cadillac-like influence in '80

I would love to see the after picture of that '01s undercarriage after bouncing off the concrete a few times...

Yea, oil embargoes were a bitch. Can't sell horsepower, so let's sell bling!

It's got scrapes but that car is still around and owned by someone. After several jumps, it actually held up well enough to be refurbished and then sold at a dealership.

My buddy's fiancée (now wife of 36 years) bought a 77 hatchback with the V8. We thought it was the bomb. Of course, we were 19 and came of age driving Pintos, Opels and Datsuns. What did we know?

Serious question I have about a lot of things, but do you think they'll look back at the 2015 design in another 50 years and cringe? 25 years? Personally, I just think things look way better right now than before (some things).
