Hmm...Even with that light out, it's very tough to get any access with my arm up into that area.

Or take it back to the dealer stating that you found it on the ground under your car.....

If you've ever wondered how the air gets out of your car when you have the fan set really high and recirculation mode turned off, or you slam the doors shut, now you know  I'm sure farts also escape this way, too
So with less restriction, MORE farts could be let out of the cabin? LEAVE IT OUT...

Im actually wondering if I even do need to replace it. If it's not actually sealed at all, what is the harm in leaving it out

farts from other people could get in.

But seriously, do you see any broken mechanism? if you do see something obviously wrong with it have the dealer replace it. If not, then there might be a way the seal works that you haven't figured out.

My farts are too heavy, they just settle into the seat and carpet to re-fragrance the car each time I sit down.

I was able to remove the trunk liner and after lining the piece up from underneath, snap it in by grabbing it from the trunk area and pulling it back into place. So, the car is buttoned back up and good to go.

I hate taking the car to the dealer unless I absolutely have to.

Looks like you lost a vital piece of the flux capacitor. You better re-install that quick!
