GT350R - Canadian Availability?

Hey guys/girls,

I know this may be a long shot, but does anyone happen to know of any GT350Rs that can be had for MSRP in Canada? My local dealer only had 3 allocations, and the third one sold to a guy who flew in from Ottawa to get it :frusty:

Looking at the bi-weekly payments between the 350 and 350R, the difference is only around $85 extra for the R model and I feel that this may be worth it in the long run for the exclusivity, carbon wheels/spoiler, and the other small differences between the two.

Anyone "know" a dealer or have a family salesman that they might be able to point me too? I am located in Newfoundland, but with my work, I can fly anywhere in Canada for free every 2 weeks, so I am thinking that I could go as far as Ontario, possibly even Manitoba and make a road trip home if i had too.

I know I'm kind of late to the game to be looking at an R, but I am heavily considering it, and if I can get one for MSRP, the fiancee has given me the approval to go for the bit extra

GT350 at MSRP - Yes. GT350R at MSRP... I haven't heard of one selling for list yet. Erinwood Ford in Mississauga ON had two that they auctioned off with some of the proceeds going to charity. They sold for $124,000 and $130,000 CAN.

My local dealer sold two of them at MSRP and I believe one was sold for just a few grand over.

Regretting that I couldn't take the car earlier, I would have taken the 3rd allocation my local dealer had :frusty::frusty:

You're gonna have to make some calls. I'd stay away from any dealers in the larger urban areas as those will have ADM. Start with looking up the old SVT dealers first.

What about waiting for a 2017? Put your order in now if your dealer does MSRP!

The SVT dealership nearest me is getting 3 17's R allocations out of which 2 are already spoken for.
They all sell them with steep markups, you may want to try calling them ( Chartrand Ford), but don't get your hopes too high.
The dealership where i bought my 350 was allocated 3 R cars and the cheapest sold for $162K cad. :eyebulge:

At this point can't be changed, build date was in July.
I know its black with stripe kit, other than that don't know all the details.
As of Monday it was still available.

Hey man, really appreciate it, but to be honest even 10K over is realistically probably too great of a stretch for me. I could pull it off over the 350 if I could get the R for msrp, but with tax and interest, another 10K over would make it close to 25K or more greater :(

Black on black stripes look sooo good though, even though I said I would never own black again haha such a badass colour combo on the R's

That's insane! Haha honestly for that money I would be picking up a GT3

The market in that area must be insane though, or full of rich stupid people

Fraser Ford in Oshawa has a 350R that just came in. White with OTT black stripes. I was over looking at it today. They want $120,000 for it. Last year they sold their 3 Rs for between $140,000 and $150,000. I wasn't sure about the combo looking at the pics on their website but it looks good in person. Funny, 2 racks up was an older Shelby.

Looks really good actually! 120K is far out of reach for me though unfortunately... thats closer to 150K after tax and interest :eyebulge:
