Any updates on the case you opened with Ford? Wondering if it’s worth opening one up too, or letting it be. Seems like it’s gonna be a while for these to be fulfilled.I can't pass the customer service person - he keeps telling me there are no regional representatives. There are case managers. Is that correct?
UPDATE- I was able to create a case. They told me someone will contact me in one business day. Let's see if this will change anything
So what failed on your gen 2?Mine must have been one of the 9 mentioned above, it was delivered to the dealer on 1/11/24, and was finished on 1/23/24. waiting for dry roads next week to pick it up.
edit, timeline for any that care: dropped at dealer on 10/21/23, diagnosed on 10/31/23, ford approved and eng ordered on 11/8/23.
Anyone want to buy a '19 with a brand new engine??? Trans isn't that old either haha...
Understand a small but not insignificant percentage of Gen 1s failed with same scarring/ring failure including mine and if I recall correctly my cylinders were 4,5, and 8. Thought they fixed it with the Gen 2s. Hope for the best.cylinder 8. scarred wall, guessing ring but they never said.
How many track hours? I’m just looking for a general estimate. Did you use it for both track and daily driving duties?cylinder 8. scarred wall, guessing ring but they never said.
I personally would love to buy it, but I'd have to sell my 2017 GT - which might not be that easy with all the mods. Good luck with the sale, in my opinion it's a great value with a new engine. Not sure why you're selling. I would think it will be hard to find something better.Anyone want to buy a '19 with a brand new engine??? Trans isn't that old either haha...
Woof woof! Congratulations on getting your new engine. Fellow Evora (400 6sp) here. Beautiful GT!"better" is subjective... but a diff experience.... if I had room and time to maintain another car I'd keep it but I prefer to have less things to take care of these days.
Thanks! a buddy had a virtually identical one back in '21 and I was fortunate enough to street drive it and ride along on track and it has been on my mind since. I had a deposit on the emira for way too long and this car came along with ohlins and j-hooks and some other little interior carbon stuff already done.... should be fun!Woof woof!
