I have the same exact issue. Figured it had to do with the exhaust but I wasn't 100% sure. I'll try sliding the tips out further to fix it. Mine looks a bit more severe, unfortunately.

mine has done the same thing, completely mangled. gonna try to find a solution that won't bend like carbon fiber inserts or something.

Wow glad I found this thread. Exact same thing happened to me on the driver's side one. My tips are definitely too far in so I'll bring those out to help with it. You would think a piece of plastic near the exhaust exit would have a high temperature rating...

I replaced my melted reflector and the new one is already starting to bow out. I moved the tips out at least two inches and it is still happening. I don't know what else to do at this point. I would be interested in buying some inserts if someone makes something.

I am surprised about this I figured the bumper cover would melt before the reflector..I took a chance on 5 in tips..had on for 1 month..nothing melting yet..I do have the base GT though..

Also seems like a good reason to upgrade to roush quad exhaust or GT350R quads.

Still shaking my head

I have the MBRP race exhaust if that matters. What I don't get is the tips are even on both sides but the only reflector that keeps melting is the passenger side.

Anyone know the P/N for this?
It's FR3Z15A449A (REFLECTOR ASY - REAR) for the left one. I don't know what it is for the right but probably just one letter/number difference.

I guess having a more open mufflers do make the exhaust gas much hotter than factory.

same issue with my roush axle-backs. Sigh, the tips are welded on.
