Looking for a good balance of weekend driving, maybe hitting the drag strip once or twice a summer plus some rolls . I am down to the Extreme Contact Sports and the Nittos. Just not sure would be the better choice. Tire size is 295/35-20. I know for the best off all around would be but I am not really into buying more rims and swapping them around at this time. I have searched threads and seem to be a lot of opinions. Looking to hear for some world input rather than just rumors from facebook forums. Thanks in advance

I use the Nittto R2's on my 650 hp 67 fastback and absolutely love them, they hook from a dig with a 4 speed manual. I use the Mickey Thompson ET street SS on my S197 with 900whp and could hook really well from a dig with a 6 speed manual. It's mainly going to depend on your suspension setup and to be consistant you need a 2 step, but for balanced driving thr R2's are the perfect choice.

Buy another set of wheels and buy both.

Do you drive it every day? Just get the Contis. But you're going to regret not getting the Nittos when you get tired of not being able to hit it 20mph earlier than you are able to.

I literally just switched over from the ECS to the RII. Big difference.

I'm boosted as well and can say that even with the Nitto NT555 RII in the rear (at least in 305/35R19) you are going to experience some issues from a dig unless you have them nice and sticky warm. That means 20c temps outside, sunshine and burnouts.

I've heard that the MT ET Streest SS heat up much easier during normal city driving. That intrigued me so I'm gonna be getting a set of 305/45R17 once I actually hide the money from the wife and get a set of beadlocks to host them.

Glad to hear you noticed a big difference then with the nittos? Thank you for the input as I am struggling which ones to spend the money.

Yeah I know neither will dead hook but I am looking for more stability under WOT pulls lets say from 20-30 MPH. I have 275/35's now but am going up to 295/35's. So I should see some improvement from that alone I would think.

As, I stated in your other thread. I have two sets of wheels with the ExtremeSport 02 on one set and the Nitto R2 on the other set. If it is a daily driver and your area gets a significant amount of rain, then I would just go with the Continentals. Keep in mind, the Nitto R2 typically only get about 7k or so miles before needing replacing, so there is that to consider. I am speaking from real world owning my second set of Nitto R2 and I don't do Facebook :) Are you currently running the original Continental ExtremeSports that came on the 2019 Stage 3 Roush? If you are, then the 02 version is just slightly better than those.

I am running the original tires. I would be going to a 295 over the stock 275 as well.

Well I ordered the 295/35-20 NItto 555R2's. Hopefully they fit and don't rub with using my stock Roush wheels. They dont make a 285/35 -20. The 295 is about 1/2 inch taller than the 275/35 that it came with.

I forgot the width and offsets of the stock Roush wheels. This is what will matter with fit and rubbing. The NItto tires run wider than the Continentals in the same size. My 275/35r20 Nitto on the front, sit almost exactly the same as the Continental 285/35r20 and the 305 Nitto R2 on the rear are visibility wider than the Continental 305/35.
