We may try to come up from Charleston. I'll let you guys know later in the week. There's another event going on here in town (that was rained out today) on Sunday. I'll see if we can get out of it.

Just made it in last night, roads were flooded.
Staying in the cherry grove area would be nice to meet up with people!

Wife, daughter and myself have plans to be in Atlanta that weekend. I won't be able to make it.

I'm sure we will have another!

What do you guys think about instead of toys for tots, doing a clothing and canned food drive for the thousands of needy people this storm has created? I can call around and see what items are needed, but I know just from Facebook browsing some families have lost everything.

This is a great idea. This rain and flooding is unreal. Maybe we can get some food and clothing donations to take to LICS.

Hey Brother, did you survive the flooding up there? Car make it? Thankfully I'm high and dry at my home, but the rest of town was not so lucky.

I was able to survive by leaving my condo and staying at my girlfriends place in barefoot. Car seems to be okay as the parking lot doesn't have standing water. Can't wait for this stuff to pass by though.

You're on the upper end of the damage at least. My wife went into work at 6:30 this morning downtown and it's now looking like she is going to be stuck at work since they have been closing more roads.
I have a feeling I'll be off the next few days eating up my vacation time.

good thing decided not to do it at old mill brew pub... it's gone now!

schools out again tomorrow too so my wife is off. it's been crazy! I'm going crazy though. I haven't left the house since friday morning. Closest damage to me though is calks ferry and spring hill rd where a pond washed away the road....but luckily we didn't have any water issues at the house. my parents live on the lake and put out 50 bags of sand to try to divert the water to the lake and it worked. They need to drop the lake again though because our boat is all the way up on the lift and water is almost back up to the boat after them already dropping the lake twice!
