BTW, Most insurance companies consider animal strikes as "comprehensive" or "other than collision" claims and do not count as a hit/points against you. You might consider filing a claim after considering what your deductible is and confirm how your insurance carrier would handle it. Just a thought. That's going to be an expensive repair.

Knowing how anal i am, i would replace it even if it was just for looks alone.

I say like others pointed out, replace it for peace of mind. You never know how it may have affected it.
